2 - Cabinet Manager
- Start DEXIT
- The Cabinet Manager path selection panel appears.
- The default system Cabinet Path: will appear in the field.
- This can be changed by the user to a personal preference.
- It is suggested, but not required that the default cabinet path is used when first getting started.
- The user can easily select an alternative cabinet path by changing the default value
- To change the default Cabinet Path:
- Simply click on the [ Browse For Folder ] button directly to the right of the field.
- The "Select your Program Data" folder panel appears.
- Navigate to the folder you want to select or click [ Make New Folder } then select the newly created forlder name.
- Simply click on the [ Browse For Folder ] button directly to the right of the field.
- Once the Cabinet Path: has been decided, selected, and appears in the Cabinet Path: field continue.
- click [ Ok ]
- After selecting the Cabinet Path
- The Cabinet Manager list panel appears.
- When installing DEXIT for the first time, the Cabinet List will appear empty as shown in the illustration.
- Continue with the next step - Adding a New Cabinet
Adding a New Cabinet
- click [ + Add Cabinet ]
Change Cabinet Name & Managed Folder Name
- In our illustration we've changed the names to HelloWorld
- Cabinet Name: field - Enter a name- press Tab
- Managed Folder: field - Enter a name - press Tab
- Note: The Full Data Path field will automtically update with the correct value. It is not necessary, or recommended that this value be modfied by the user.
- click [ Ok ] to save
- continue to the next step
Use Selected Cabinet
- Highlight to select the Cabinet you want to contain your data
- click [ Use Selected Cabinet ]
